Poster presentations provide an opportunity for an interactive exchange of ideas between the presenter and audience interested in her/his research. The poster session will take place in the Adams Conference Center at the College of Veterinary Medicine on Saturday, November 2, 2019. The following guidelines apply to all poster presentations for GPID 2019. If you have questions, please contact Krista Rodgers.
Posters should be no larger than 4’ x 4’; either portrait or landscape orientation is acceptable.
GPID will supply boards and easels for displaying posters. Presenters can start hanging their posters at the beginning of the day on Saturday and finish no later than 10 minutes before the poster session. Posters may be left up until 4:00 PM on Saturday.
All poster boards will be numbered, indicating assigned spaces for each presenter. Assignments will be posted online prior to the conference and lists will be available at check-in on Saturday. A staff member or volunteer will be on hand to help you find your space.
Thumbtacks and clips will be available for hanging your poster, as well as tape for any tears and rubber bands to secure rolled posters. Please do not use staples, tape or any other adhesive to hang your poster.
Presenters are asked to be available at their posters during the entirety of the poster session to discuss their posters with interested viewers.
Important Things to Know
All posters should be prepared in advance and brought to the conference by the presenters. The conference organizers are not able to receive any posters by mail or print or transport posters.
There will not be facilities on-site for printing or composing posters.
If you choose to bring handouts, we recommend you bring approximately 100 copies and provide contact information (i.e., author names and email addresses) on the handout.
